AI SEO optimisation, AI search visibility, technical SEO checklist
A page can look polished to readers and still be invisible to search systems. One blocked folder, a confused canonical tag or a slow mobile template can keep useful material out of the pool that AI tools draw from. These seven repairs give search engines cleaner access to your content without chasing speculative tricks.
1. Check Crawling and Indexing
Start with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Inspect priority URLs, review indexing reports and confirm that robots.txt is not blocking valuable pages. Also check for accidental noindex tags.
A practical note: staging rules often survive a website launch. I have seen entire service sections disappear because one template carried the wrong directive.
2. Fix Canonical Signals
Duplicate URLs make it harder for search systems to identify the preferred source. Choose one canonical version for each page and keep internal links, sitemaps and redirects aligned with it.
